Introducing the Art Bank’s Newest
Art Consultant, Claudio Marzano

Claudio Marzano has been working at the Art Bank as an Art Consultant since August 2009. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Manchester, for which he wrote a thesis exploring the Fair Use provision of art copyright law in the digital age.

He was assistant curator / technical director for the 2007 Montreal Biennale, assistant curator for the Urban Play exhibition at the 2008 Experimenta Design Biennale in Amsterdam, and co-curator of the Soundscapes remix project. In 2007 he served as a technical advisor of multimedia installations for the Mois de la Photo à Montréal, and was a consultant in the selection of artists for the Street Art at Tate Modern / Nissan Qashqai Challenge exhibition held in London. His own work in mixed media illustration has been featured in numerous print and digital publications, and as a dedicated music collector and DJ he has produced several compilations and remixes.

“It is an honour and a privilege to work with and be able to share the world’s largest collection of Canadian contemporary art with our clients, allowing them to find comfort in and draw inspiration from these works within their own workplace as we do everyday here at the Art Bank.”
